Engaging Government programme

This site provided information about a programme, supported by the Department for Constitutional Affairs to help civil servants learn more about public engagement, and to create links with practitioners in the field.

April 2006

The Action Learning Network project is currently being rescoped. It has resulted in the development of a great network of enthusiasts and some extremely useful learning, but we need to take stock of the lessons so far, what has worked, what has not and what might be done differently.

The aim remains to help grow and share knowledge and support on participation across central government. We have got some ideas on how this might be achieved and will share our thinking with you shortly.

Thank you for your involvement to date. We hope that you will continue to be part of the project as it develops.

In the meantime please feel free to access and use the data on the wiki.
